KAZIMIR MALEVICH
He painted a black square and changed art forever.
In 1915, Malevich exhibited Black Square - a painting so deliberately stripped of representation that it scandalised the entire art world and redefined what painting could be. He called it Suprematism: pure feeling expressed through pure geometry. The Soviet regime eventually declared his ideas dangerous, imprisoned him briefly, and suppressed his influence for decades. He was proved right posthumously, as rebels usually are.
Peak minimalist energy before minimalism was even a word. His work looks as radical today as it did a century ago.
Privileged Prints: Museum-quality. Sustainably made. Unapologetically bold.
